Description
One of the oldest and longest used herbs with a long history of use with horses. It is an excellent source of vitamins A, B and C. Parsley contains chlorophyll, iron, calcium, potassium, thiamine, niacin and riboflavin. It is a calmative, releasing cramp-producing gas and digestive tonic. Parsley encourages milk production in lactating mares and was fed by the Greek charioteers to pep their horses up. Caution: Parsley has uterine stimulatory properties and should not be given to pregnant mares.
