Description
Hops are well known for their ability to calm the central nervous system. They will help horses that are easily distracted, enabling them to concentrate on their training. Hops also help to calm horses that are spooky and sensitive, helping horses settle into new surroundings, especially in times of home change. Hops can be given either in their natural dried form or as an infusion by mixing with half a pint of boiling water and allowing to infuse. When cold, the liquid can be used to moisten their dried feed and the spent hops can be mixed into the feed.
